Selection Criteria

  • Female adult learner - age 25 or older
  • Resident of Greater Hartford region (i.e., 29 town Capitol Region)
  • Enrolling in 2018-19 academic year, full-or part-time in an accredited community or undergraduate college or university in the Greater Hartford region - see list below
  • Completion of 15 semester hours or the equivalent of academic work by the end of the fall 2017 semester, with a 2.5 gpa
  • Financial need - must submit federal 2018-19 SAR report and a copy of 2017 federal tax return
  • Personal statement- answering questions on application
  • Faculty reference from faculty with whom you have had one of more courses
  • Enrolled at one of listed colleges: Asnuntuck Community College, Capital Community College, Manchester Community College, Tunxis Community College, Goodwin College, Trinity College, University of Saint Joseph, University of Hartford, UConn Hartford Campus
  • May reapply for renewal
