Application Instructions
Mr. DeDominicis came to the U.S. from Italy at age 16 with six dollars. He went on to co-finance, build and open New England's first television station, WTNH-TV, in New Haven. He also co-founded WNCJ-AM in New Haven and bought a radio station in New Britain, which he renamed WRCH AM-FM. DeDominicis, called "Uncle Aldo" by those who knew him, was adamant that his fortune should be shared with others. This scholarship is for students who have already received a UNICO-Farmington scholarship; these awards complement the UNICO one-year awards.
