Selection Criteria
- Preference for Black/African American female graduating high school seniors
- Applicant must reside and attend high school in the service area of the Hartford Alumnae Chapter which includes Hartford County (excluding Bristol and Southington); cities and towns within, Windham or Tolland Counties; cities of Cromwell and East Hampton in Middlesex County; and the cities of Colchester and Lebanon in New London County
- Planning to attend an accredited four-year college or university
- Academic excellence, GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
