- College graduate in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of medical school
- Has attended a Connecticut public and/or parochial school for at least eight years and has graduated from a Connecticut public or parochial high school
- Is attending, and is in good standing at an A.M.A (or similar status accrediting entity) accredited medical school located in the United States

This fund was established in 1994 to honor the life of Dr. Marino, who was an obstetrician/gynecologist. The fund offers scholarship support to students educated in Connecticut who are attending medical school.
