About This Scholarship
This fund was established by the children of Joseph S. and Edith Gaberman Sudarsky to honor their parents who loved their hometown, Hartford. Joseph worked for his family firm and Edith was a volunteer social worker before earning her master's degree at age 60. They were active members of the community and greatly valued education and philanthropy. This scholarship is for graduating seniors from a Hartford public high school who are pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree, have demonstrated financial need and are involved in extracurricular activities such as community service and athletics.
