  • Graduating high school senior who lives in or attends high school in the 29-town Greater Hartford region.
  • Class rank in top third with a good academic record.
  • Entering a four-year college/university; full-time enrollment.
  • Pursuing a major and/or career in musical theater, performing arts, or theater arts.
  • Involved with volunteer, community service, work, and/or extracurricular activities.
  • Have demonstrated financial need.

About This Scholarship

Linda Singer had a career as an actress, teacher, writer, director, and television show host. As a director, she was especially devoted to working with teenagers because she understood the place theater has in teaching self-confidence to this age group. This fund awards scholarships to students pursuing a major and/or career in musical theater, performing arts, or theater arts.
