- Demonstrated academic ability.
- Financial need.
About This Scholarship
Patricia Coombs enjoyed a long career with the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company and retired in 1990 after 47 years of service. She was very active in the Hartford community and particularly as a volunteer teacher and trustee at United Methodist Church of Hartford. Miss Coombs cared deeply about education and, through a trust, she generously provided for annual scholarship support for members of the church or individuals in Hartford County who are pursuing higher education, or vocational or professional training.
