Selection Criteria
  • Graduating high school seniors from Conard High School in West Hartford, CT.
  • Have demonstrated a strong desire to learn and have achieved academically to his or her full capabilities.
  • Have post-secondary educational goals that the student attends to pursue during the next academic year (not necessarily tied to the achievement of a baccalaureate (four year undergraduate degree).
  • Have a reputation for friendliness and hard work with a demonstrated sensitivity for the rights and feelings of others.

About This Scholarship

This fund was established in memory of Ray Lachat, who was a math teacher at Conard High School for nearly 30 years.  It awards scholarships to graduating seniors at Conard High School, West Hartford.
