Scholarship Details
- Graduating high school seniors who are residents of East Hartford, CT.
- Entering a four-year college/university and pursuing an undergraduate degree on a full-time basis.
- Majoring in Political Science, Education, or the Arts (for example: literature, music, architecture, or visual, graphic, plastic, decorative, or performing arts).
- If there are no qualifying applicants who are majoring in Political Science, Education or the Arts, other fields of study will be considered.
- Have achieved academic success in high school (maintaining a 2.5 GPA or higher) and show promise of continued academic achievement at the collegiate level.
- Need financial aid in order to attend college.
- Have been involved with volunteer, community service, and/or extracurricular activities which especially includes public service.
About This Scholarship
Established in memory of Richard and M. Terrye Blackstone, this fund provides scholarships to students from East Hartford who are pursuing a major in the Arts, Political Science or Education, and have been involved with volunteer, community service and/or extracurricular activities which especially include public service.
