Scholarship Details
- Graduating seniors of Farmington High School or any high school in the 29 town Greater Hartford region.
- Are Black/African American males.
- Planning on majoring in a science-related field.
- Entering a 2-year or 4-year college or university.
- Have achieved a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Have financial need.
About This Scholarship
This fund was created in memory of Shyaam Bachman, an honors student at Farmington High, a gifted scholar athlete, a four-year presidential scholar at Hampton University, and later, a dedicated science teacher who touched the lives of many students. This memorial scholarship fund will support Black/African American males with financial need who have graduated from a high school in the Greater Hartford region and are planning to major in a science-related field.
